Countries
World Sensorium/Conservancy (WS/C) provides a global database of conservation assessments of all of the iconic aromatic and medicinal plants of the World Sensorium project. It contains original global research on these plants, the countries, and cultures, along with conservation assessments from a variety of sources—mainly from the National Red List and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, but also NatureServe and CNCFlora. Just recently the Botanic Gardens Conservation International’s ThreatSearch came online and we now monitor that also.
The research surrounding these conservation assessments guide our understanding of plant diversity loss and our focus on saving these plants by growing the scope of worldwide conservation efforts through the plant conservation activities and sustainability practices of individuals and communities.
